Invoices need to be uploaded manually to Amazon. New functionality should support M2ePro to automatically upload the invoice to the order when it is shipped / completed.

Hi all,

The feature is already out. I've just looked through the release notes:

Additionally, the VCS Invoice uploading is also under development. It is available on demand, but later it will be out publicly.

We have received a warning by Amazon today because of missing invoices.

When will you release this feature?
Henning commented April 24, 2020 11:04
I got an email from m2e that the feature is developed and will be released in one of the upcoming versions. Try to contact them for a prerelease.

Hello, we need this feature to upload automatically the magento 2 invoices to amazon. Please.
YiffyToys commented March 06, 2020 07:03
We got an update from Amazon that reads like providing an electronic invoice to Amazon will become mandatory.

Why is there no answer from M2E yet?

I would have same request. Magento is generating my invoies. I tried with amazon but there are too many violations of european law.
How can I automatically upload the invocies from Magento to amazon?
Henning commented January 17, 2020 15:01
Are there any updates on this topic?

We are not using the VAT calculation service. Magento issues the invoice for us (which we email to the customer). So the invoice WE created must go to the customer, not something some other services created for us....

" You don't have to upload the invoice manually, but you can also upload invoices automatically to Seller Central through your solution providers.

If your service provider does not support billing, we recommend that you contact them for more information.

The following solution providers currently support the Invoice Upload feature.

Note: From the activation date of the VAT calculation service, the solution provider will begin uploading invoices on behalf of the seller.

- Amainvoice (DE)
- Easybill (EN) and (DE)
- Linnworks (EN)
- PlentyMarkets (EN)
- StoreFeeder (EN)

This help page gives more insight into the topic "Upload your bills".

This is an official Amazon support answer regarding the problem: (translated)

You have contacted us because a new tab "Invoice missing" has been added to the order overview.

I was happy to get an overview of your request.

I would like to inform you that this is a new feature of Amazon.

Amazon wants to ensure the best possible shopping experience. That's why we've decided that the customer can download the invoice for "My Orders" at any time.

Currently, this has no negative impact on the condition of the account.

As an Amazon seller, you must comply with all applicable legal requirements and follow the guidelines of Amazon Services Europe Business Solutions contract.

Invoices and receipts do not only concern our business customers, but very often also private customers.

We always recommend providing an invoice for the customer to ensure the best possible shopping experience.

Currently all orders with missing invoices are marked and highlighted as "Invoice Missing" in a separated tab. That seams to me Amazon is serious about that.

"All sellers are required to provide Amazon Business customers with a correct and valid VAT invoice for each order within one business day after the dispatch of the order was confirmed" & " Amazon Business customers require invoices, receipts and credit notes for tax and accounting purposes. Failure to comply can result in actions being taken against your selling account." ( &

"For orders from non-business customers, uploading a receipt is not mandatory at this time, but we encourage you to do so because it provides the best customer experience." (

As far as I can see, this also applies to credit notes a.k.a credit memos.
