Suggestions for eBay Integration

When we make changes to shipping cost to a product, the new shipping value does not get updated on the eBay site. Shipping cost tends to be almost as important as the item price, as it directly and completely impacts the cost that is charged to the end customer. Basically, auto-sync needs get triggered when shipping costs are changed as well.

Interesting shipping module. I know there is a few more out there. Any more recommendations?

We have thousands of orders a week. Changing shipping all the time will be short live. When we first started it was a daily practice. After awhile you get pretty good at pricing all you products accordingly. It will take time, but if you have the right servers it's not as bad, maybe 30 minutes for 10k products for an entire update.

We change thousands of prices daily without much fuss.

As of right now we haven't found much that hasn't work. Pricing is sometimes confused, but you have to realize sometimes it's EBay and Amazon too. We've worked with many platforms and can almost always have the same scenarios.

Bulk updates on EBay are not highly frowned upon.

Bulk updates several times an hour are frowned up. You have to realize we sync thousands of products every several minutes. If it was frowned upon it would be bad business for us.

uhmmm!!! not work!!! if i only sync the model from >>> EBAY>CONFIGURATION>SYNCHRONIZATION

and I MAke TEMPLATE SYNCHRONIZATION > RUN NOW, nothing happens!!!

the shipping price on ebay not update!!

i must select all products tha i wont synch from my listing and run ACTION>REVISE ITEM!!!!!

just so the costs are updated!

even the product description is automatically synchronized on ebay!!!!

how can we do???

@anthony, We rework our pricing every week. To do a manual sync of every product, when we have thousands, would take...FOREVER. It's easier for us to just open turbolister and change the price there, change it in Magento, and then sync turbolister, than it is to go in and manually sync every product we change, one a time. Doing a bulk update to ALL of our ebay listings at once is HIGHLY frowned upon by eBay, and FAR...FAR worse is that it kills our eBay synchronization. So if the entire system is tied up synchronizing thousands of items with eBay, sales on eBay are dropped, inventory numbers go out of sync, and description changes during the hours it takes to sync everything, are lost.

Syncing the whole template is not a good solution at all. Again it takes many hours for entire product catalog to sync up, when all we need is for 5 to 20 items to have their shipping amounts be changed.

Just sync the template manually. Seems like an easy enough workaround.

yaa this feature is a must since shipping cost is also part of the final price.

@James Chapman-Smith : I understand that the workaround exists. But, there could easily be a scenario when a buyer buys the item from ebay before the magento admin manually revises it, in which case ebay guarantee is compromised. To avoid such a situation(which has a high probability of occurring) we need this autosync.

The documentation says that shipping cost changes are not automatically revised and that you must manually revise the listings. That is the "workaround".

I agree

I have the same issue, does anybody know of a workaround?
